LTB Zoom Hearings Now Require 64-bit Windows
From December 15, 2025, you need 64-bit Windows to join LTB video hearings. Here's how to check and what to do if you don't have it.

If you’ve got an LTB hearing coming up, there’s a tech thing you should know about.
What’s happening
December 15, 2025: Zoom is dropping support for 32-bit Windows. If your computer runs 32-bit Windows, you won’t be able to join LTB hearings through the Zoom app.
Mac users—you’re fine, this doesn’t affect you.
How to check
On Windows:
- Press
Windows + Ito open Settings - Go to System → About
- Look for “System type”—it’ll say 32-bit or 64-bit
Most computers from the last decade are 64-bit, so you’re probably okay.
If you have 32-bit
A few options:
- Use a different computer—library, friend’s place, community center
- Request a phone hearing—the LTB can accommodate this
- Contact the LTB through the Tribunals Ontario Portal to request an accommodation
Quick tips for Zoom hearings
- Test beforehand—join a test meeting 24 hours before to check your camera and mic
- Have backup—keep your phone charged in case you need to dial in
- Find somewhere quiet—background noise makes it hard to hear you
- Have documents ready—keep evidence accessible on your screen
- Treat it like court—dress appropriately, be on time
